Obama campaign official to hold seminar
PETALING JAYA: Roger Fisk, the former National Director of Special Events during president Barack Obama’s presidential campaign, will be in Malaysia for a one-day seminar.
The campaign team, dubbed “Team Obama,” was recently hailed as the world’s most innovative group by Fast Company in its annual ranking of innovative companies, knocking off Google.
Marketing magazine publisher Harmandar Singh, the company organising the event, said the seminar would be a great opportunity for Malaysians to learn from the successful marketing campaign.
Fisk will discuss ideas and thoughts put in during the campaign with focus on new media strategies like blogging, e-mail alerts and SMS in the seminar.
“In the seminar, Fisk will look at various case studies in different states and challenges faced by Obama,” said Harmandar Singh.
“This programme will impart all the necessary attributes required to plan, develop and operate a successful media campaign,” Harmandar Singh said.
The seminar will be held at the Kristal Ballroom, Petaling Jaya Hilton, here on March 2 from 8.30am to 5pm.
Participants are required to adhere to a formal dress code.
