Starbiz: ABC to audit more magazine titles

THE Audit Bureau of Circulations' (ABC) newly-elected council aims to provide a standard currency across all media platforms for marketers to make the right decision.

Chairman Chan Sheow-Vern, who is from Unilever, says in a statement that the bureau's immediate task for this year was to get 80% of magazine titles audited.
“We've also developed a special subscription rate to encourage publication groups to have their titles audited,” she says.

“We believe that magazine titles audited and verified by ABC value integrity and transparency.”

ABC is working closely with affiliated associations, including the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia, the Malaysian Advertisers Association and the Media Specialists Association, in encouraging advertisers and agencies to demand that the print media provide audited circulation numbers.
