MINDSHARE REBRANDS WITH NEW LOOK!

Mindshare has unveiled a comprehensive worldwide rebrand of its corporate identity. The redesign, developed in partnership with branding agency Moving Brands, coincides with the WPP agency’s ongoing global restructure announced earlier this year – its first since launching more than ten years ago – and its intention to earn Mindshare the position of its client’s “lead business partner”.

PIMPS AND PROSTITUTES AT DRAFTFCB MALAYSIA?

Cross-dressers, pimps and prostitutes – that was the order of the day at DraftFCB's recently held "Pimps and Hoes" event.

The cheekily themed event had staff of DraftFCB dress up, cross dress and coiffure their mane in outrageous styles and wigs that attracted curious stares, grins and outright laughter from surprised shoppers at Mid-Valley Megamall.

Noel Lorenzana, Chairman/Managing Director of Unilever Malaysia & Singapore, has told ADOI that he is moving on by November after spending more than a year in Malaysia and Singapore.

He was last back in The Philippines in 2004, as marketing director for Personal Care, which was marked by a number of very creative campaigns and initiatives, a few of which won awards and set global records.

ADOI MEDIA ANALYSIS: TV MORE RESILIENT THAN PRINT, BUT WILL THEY OVERTAKE PRINT?

Print players in Malaysia are forced to seek new revenue streams with never ending increases in the price of newsprint. Coupled with declining readership is making television a better option for advertisers, if print ad prices keep going up. Newsprint prices have risen to RM3,123 a ton of late. Television players are not bogged down by such uncertainties, having a safe fixed-cost operations model in place. Furthermore, magazines have registered negative growth in advertising expenditure (adex) for the first half of this year.
