PETALING JAYA: A gathering of online publishers, online media and digital agencies will be held on the Wednesday, 17th Dec 2008 at Menara Star between 3pm - 5pm to moot the formation of the Malaysian Digital Association (MDA). Join us at the 1st Townhall.

The call for unification and consolidation has never been more resounding as a group of over 20 Online Publishers, 20-plus media and digital agencies will be getting togeher to propose the formation of Malaysia's 1st Digital Association.

So, far the protem commitee and participating parties include the likes of The Star Publication, Media Prima, Astro / MIT, Perfisio / Utusan Online, Media 2.0 / MSN, Yellow Brick Road / Yahoo, Malaysiakini.com, Sinchew-i, Nuffnang, Digitalyst, Eyeblaster, Netinfinium, Arachnid, Agenda, Starcom IP, Leo Burnett/Arc WW, MRM / Momemtum WW, OgilvyOne, Neo@Ogilvy, Innity, Pixel Media, Digital Commerce, Integricity Ventures, 3rd December, Web Guru Asia, Admax Network, Emagin, Omnicom Media Group, Mindshare, FriedChillies, Rezonanze, Motionworks, Lowyat.net, Publicis, If Interactive etc., have shown their initial interest in the Association.

The 1st Townhall will be the first time where the majority of online community will be gathering.

The objective of the Digital Association can be summarized as:

• Unified voice of the industry
• Audited Malaysian Internet Traffic Report
• Standardization of Practices: Technical and Advertising Standards
• Grow knowledge base and understanding among Advertisers/Market
• Grow Internet ADEX in Malaysia
