Hong Kong – SPE Networks – Asia (SPENA), home to pay-TV channel brands AXN, AXN BEYOND, Animax and Sony Entertainment Television has appointment of broadcast veteran, Ashok Miranda, as Director of Creative Services for AXN and AXN BEYOND. A multi-award winning creative professional who has over 18 years of international media experience, Miranda will head the Creative Services team, in-charge of on-air promotions and branding for AXN and AXN BEYOND. He succeeds Jacky Foo, who was appointed in May 2009 to head SPENA’s Taiwan office. Miranda is a proven expert in the broadcast industry with extensive experience in multiplatform brand management, marketing and promotions, programming and TV production. He comes fresh from a 10-year stint with the Disney Channel, where he pioneered its in-channel creative services department and led them to win 9 Promax World and Asia creative awards. Said Ricky Ow, senior vice president & general manager, SPE Networks – Asia, “The Creative Services team of AXN and AXN BEYOND has made great achievements over the years, winning numerous PROMAX/BDA awards. AXN was even voted the number one channel with the best on-air promotions in Content Asia’s 2009 Pay-TV Operators Survey – the most gratifying form of recognition amongst our trade partners. It is big shoes to fill, but I am confident that Ashok will be able to deliver and continue to bring more accolades to the two channels.” |
