| Astro & ESPN STAR Sports win rights to Live and Exclusive Barclays Premier League Rights in Malaysia |

Malaysia: Astro, Malaysia’s leading Pay-TV operator, and ESPN STAR Sports (ESS), Asia’s biggest sports content provider announced today that they have secured a new three-year agreement with the FA Premier League (FAPL) for exclusive rights to Barclays Premier League (BPL) in Malaysia. As a part of this arrangement, for the first time, all 380 matches of BPL will be available to be shown live on ESPN, STAR Sports and Astro channels. Mr. Henry Tan, Astro’s Chief Operating Officer said, “We are proud to further strengthen our association with Malaysian football fans by bringing them three more seasons of their favourite football action from BPL. Along with our valued partner, ESPN STAR Sports, we have been showcasing BPL action and a comprehensive bouquet of football programming since 2001 on Astro platform. Malaysian football fans can continue to look forward to the best sporting action from around the world on Astro.” Tan said, “Unfortunately the competitive environment drove the rights prices up and Astro had to pay a higher price than anticipated. Nevertheless Astro remains committed to provide its customers with more premium content at good value.” Commenting on the win, Mr. Manu Sawhney, Managing Director, ESPN STAR Sports said, “We are very pleased to further extend our association with the Premier League for another three seasons until 2012-13. This renewal underlines our commitment to fans in Malaysia as we continue to focus on providing the most compelling content to our viewers and an excellent promotional platform for our business partners. “We look forward to continue working with our long-term partner Astro to bring BPL to fans across Malaysia. For passionate sports fans, in addition to BPL, we broadcast the best line-up of world-class football content such as the UEFA Champions League, the FA Cup and the England home matches, as well as a rich bouquet of AFC football events such as the AFC Champions League, the AFF Championship and the Asian Final Qualifying Round for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. In addition, we produce more than 1500 hours of original football programming to supplement our live football content and expand fans’ interaction with their favorite sport beyond the live games,” added Mr. Sawhney.
