For more that 15 years, Peter Anthony Das has had much difficulty playing down his nickname as Mr Perodua. The man who helped make Malaysia’s second national car brand a market leader is now the new General Manager for Marketing and Branding at Proton’s Corporate Office. His appointment is effective February 2.
For more that 15 years, Peter Anthony Das has had much difficulty playing down his nickname as Mr Perodua. The man who helped make Malaysia’s second national car brand a market leader is slated to become the new General Manager for Marketing and Branding at Proton’s Corporate Office.
Peter joined Perodua as an A&P executive and was promoted to sales assistant manager during the economic crisis in 1998; in 2001 he moved to head advertising and promotion, and took over marketing services. In 2004 he was promoted to senior marketing manager and took the helm of corporate affairs in late 2005. Peter is also President of the Malaysian Advertisers Association (MAA) and Chairman of the Audit Bureau of Circulations.
