4As Boomerang brings returns

An Association of Accredited Advertising Agents (4As) Malaysia initiative, the Boomerang Membership Accreditation Programme aims to strengthen the local advertising industry through commitment to Human Capital Development. Boomerang points are earned when 4As members take part in accredited training programmes or participate in 4As events. This move is to stimulate professional development and encourage members to play a role in the Association's activities. Renewal of annual membership to the 4As is also reliant on Boomerang points.

Karthi Palanisamy, Convenor of the Boomerang programme, shared with ADOI, "It is a fact that the top 20 advertisers in Malaysia use 4As member agencies and that 4As agencies are responsible for more than 80% of all ad spend in the country. In order to continue to maintain the high standards of professional competence you must be committed to the development of your staff through professional training and involving yourself with the affairs of the Association."

The programme now entering into its second year appears to have the resounding support of members as they see the valuable returns in their training investments. Boomerang points have been accorded to programmes run by the 4As, 95% and ADOI magazine in the past year. Training providers are encouraged to apply for Boomerang Accreditation points.
