Euro RSCG Kuala Lumpur hires Kit Ong as Executive Creative Director, marking the third consecutive senior creative hire in that market in recent months. Ong is tasked with driving the agency’s integrated creative offering, while working across the agency’s client roster.
The move follows a string of senior creative hires in SE Asia, including Bear Phanichwatana as ECD in Bangkok and creative duo Tarsha Lim and Maslita Rezal as creative group heads in KL. All these moves fall under the creative umbrella of recently promoted Victor Ng, Chief Creative Officer for SE Asia.
“What impresses me most about Kit is the fire and flair beneath his unassuming demeanor. His creative experience extends beyond conventional advertising and that has sculpted his vision of a progressive agency. In Kit and Bear, we have added a pair of outstanding creative leaders who will help our SE Asia network become a tightly integrated creative force,” said Ng.
Most recently, Ong worked as Creative Director at Ogilvy Shanghai, where he developed integrated campaigns for Lee Jeans and The North Face. He is also a filmmaker, focused on independent films as well as advertisements. With over a decade of industry experience, Ong has worked in both China and Malaysia on brands such as Guinness, Nokia, Citibank, Sony, P&G, and Toyota. His numerous awards include metals and finalists at Cannes, D&AD, One Show, Clio, and Adfest.
