"Not forgetting the dynamic component of creativity". De Kretser commented, "Chua's experience of local and Asian markets will be invaluable". He said, "the synergies of the two companies are complementary, and will provide clients a range of increased resources - for example with the powerful digital and social media". Chua said, "my key role as Chairman will be to implement a blueprint strategy for a regional network". "Plans and discussions are currently taking place for joint venture and wholly owned GO Communications offices in Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam". "These offices should be fully operational by end 2012". Chua added, "I accepted the chairmanship as I was impressed and excited by the vision and ambitions of the two founders of GO Communications - Michael and Peter de Kretser". GO Communications clients include Berjaya Roasters, Celebrity Fitness, Fischer-Price, Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur, Katch-I Group, Mattel Games, NIKON, Melbourne University, Optimax, Orbusneisch, Pandora, Sunway Lagoon, Tourism Victoria, TNT Courier Express and QBE. GO Communications has been growing by double digit figures. In 2011, GO won over 20 new accounts across a broad industry range. Aside from the traditional market offering of consumer, corporate and technology practices, GO Communications has built expertise in new specialisations that recognise the changed complexity of the communications landscape. Basic digital competency is a requirement for all executives and includes a social media strategy team. In addition GO Communications established practices for finance and health. To add more expertise to its portfolio, GO Communications has appointed two sporting icons - golfer Stewart Ginn and professional footballer Abbas Saad, as Sports Brand Directors. De Kretser said, "Sports and Events marketing is becoming a big part of our client communications strategy. "Ginn and Abbas are vastly experienced marketers and will support sporting events for clients. "Both Ginn and Abbas now reside in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Ginn has won golf tournaments around the world including Australia, Europe, Japan and the USA. He has won the Malaysian Open twice and the Malaysian Masters Cup. Abbas played soccer for both Singapore and Australia and dubbed the ‘the Singapore Beckham' during his playing career. He currently is football commentator on the Astro Network.
